Grants
- Our Guidelines
The Foundation does not operate programs, but makes grants to 501(c)(3) organizations whose objectives are to improve the quality of life in northern and rural Nevada.
The
Foundation will accept grant requests from organizations that
support the mission of the Foundation. Grants may be awarded
to organizations located in any county in Nevada except Clark
County.
Priority will be given to requests that provide opportunities for the underprivileged, with a focus on women and children, in the following areas:
•
Arts and culture
•
Economic assistance
•
Education
•
Health care, particularly for diabetes
•
Social services
Specific priorities within these areas of interest will be established and reviewed annually by the Trustees based on the mission statement. Areas of interest and priorities may be amended as interests change.
The
Foundation will not accept grant requests for endowments,
venture capital, or individuals. The Foundation will consider
multi-year grants on a case-by-case basis.
The number and size of grants will be determined by the asset value of the Foundation. The current focus is on giving a fewer number of larger grants.
